On the subject of Mongolian Bows you might wish to look around these sites. These are active makers of several styles of Eastern European and Asian bows and the sites include information on history, use and construction of the classic double recurve bow.

Another site of interest primarily for the beautiful illustrations is Persian Halls. The site itself is written in Persian, Farsi or Arabic but the site is well done and contains a number of historical illustrations of the Persian Archer and soldier circa Greek and Roman days.

Since someone has mentioned "the Witchery of Archey" And "Hunting with the Bow and Arrow" I thought that the forum readers might be interested in possibly reading these two books on line or extravagantly printing out their own copy.
