I purchased a Mathews Z7 the friday after thanksgiving. I have taken 5deer with it since. Red asked me for an overview of this bow. I'm not a short bow person this one is 30'' ata I have shot it out to 40 yds and it seems to be fairly forgiving. The draw cycle is very nice the bulk of the load is in the first 4" or so. It draws nothing like the reezen. Its shot is smooth as any comparable bow that i have shot reminds me of the DXT. I don't have any dislikes about it yet if some show up I'll let you guys know. My cousin has it right now trying it out when I get it back I'll post pics.

I recently got a Z7. In the last few years I have owned Hoyt, Diamond, and Bowtech bows. All of which were nice bows. However, to date the Z7 is the best bow I have ever had in my hands (this is my first Mathews). The draw cycle is great, the bow is quiet at the shot, no hand shock, shoots darts out to 40 yards (I haven't shot beyond 40 yet, but I certainly will). The bow tuned quite nicely.... Nice bow!!!

I agree this will be my go to bow for many hunting seasons.

Nice review, I've been hearing a lot of good things about this bow.

I shot this bow too, to me it seemed like a cross between a Monster and a DXT. Nice shooting bow.
