I'm not even sure if they make them but think they must. Can you add screw in weight to your insert when you build an arrow .If so where do you get them and what are they called.

I used them to increase the weight of my brass inserts from 110 grains to 140 grains. This changes my FOC from 18% to 22 %. Crossbow arrows do better with a heavy front end. ;D

I'd rather just adjust with a head weight. I have a tune kit that I used back in the early 80's when I was shooting the IBO circuit. Since then...they have been collecting rot. To be honest....I dont even know where my kit is ;D

I use glue in brass inserts to weaken the spine of my arrows for my longbow. I shoot a stiffer spine with a lot of front end weight to get my arrows to weigh more. For my compound I just don't see the reason to add front weight

So the higher FOC is actually working out better for you...or it's just to get a overall heavier shaft?. Man Greg....I sure haven't been around you much this year. I never used to have to ask what you were doing or why. We need to get together again soon.
