I use a new 50# Martin Mamba recurve and a 54# L.D.Berry Longbow from '88.
(I believe this is the year)
My back up broke (50# '74 Herters Sitka Perfection) and my new back up is a Bear Grizzly @ 40#

Yeah there is a famous run called that. So I always thought it was a sweet name. sorry alittle off topic anyway
I had seen it on other products but never associated the two.
I can post a pic when I find time.
On the subject of that bow you said that I shouldnt shoot it if it had been strung for 30 some years like I thought. Well I actually found out its only been strung for 4 years without being unstrung, is it safe? I hope so.

That probably isn't going to make it unsafe to shoot but it may of likely caused some damage as to original design spec. None the less.....I'd probably give it a try myself while being careful while doing so. |

Are you left handed? It may be a bit old and dry for shooting but it's a great bow to clean up and put on the wall |

Have you notified someone like the discovery channel  You could make a good buck since I am sure your family would make an interesting piece of scientific study for those like me who would watch such a thing  |

I shoot a Martin Mamba 50#. Both my wife and I are lefties but my 2 daughters are both right handers, strange. New here by the way so Hi to every one. I love just loitering and watching the conversations going on but just had to comment on the lefty situation
