Actually, BT, some of the guys at Bass Pro are pretty darn good techs. Better than what any of the local shops have to offer. Well as it turns out...they actually caught one that I missed Just talked to Doegirl at Bass Pro. Looks like they got it or at least thats how it sounds

We have a go on the custom grip Scott knew what I was saying before I was half way through the first sentence Like I said...not a new idea...just dont see it much anymore This is a solid 10fps and maybe up to 15fps We can go 2" and get this bow set at 28" draw while the shooter remains at 26" but that can wait for now. If we can do 2", I can get the start spec up to 275-280fps. If that works...we could have a 310fps+ Kobalt on our hands ** I have decided to go Super Mod on my Kobalt as well and anticipate 330fps+ More on that later

???Doesn't this essentially give the shooter a 5" BH?

???Doesn't this essentially give the shooter a 5" BH? The bows brace remains the same but the effective brace changes. Doegirl is an old pro with the BK2 and it's 5.5" brace. I have all the faith in the world with this lady That said...we are starting at 6" .... which is a cake walk for her

Got the Bow Turbo on My 60# Kobalt.... as a test before I get to the works bow. UMPH! ... that changes things a bit I will see (tomorrow) what the effective change is beyond weight gain via control cable lock down. On the scale, I have between 4-5# weight added....and I am well behind the standard (stated) manufactures recommended initial position.....which added 10# easily I (long ago) used to pre-stress 30# and swap limbs every 4 months.....which isn't what I am looking to do here I would anticipate 9-13 fps on the weight gain alone. Anything past 15....I am giving the credit to the change in the cam angle that would be directly related to the Bow Turbo....if it exists. Now here is the rub.... Likely....I will have to go up a spine range to accommodate the added weight. Which will reduce speed....but increase momentum....Maybe. Hmmmm..... If I go to 300 series shafts....I have to increase bow weight by 5# to off set the speed loss...just to break even. Now I have increased momentum. Let me look to the calculator to see what changes that gives me...at the minimum 64.97K.E. (300 series shaft @ 325grn.) as opposed to the 59.97 K.E. (200 series @300grn.) Thats a 5# K.E. added with a fractional momentum change. This is with a 5gpp IBO standard for each set up.

O.K. ... the Bow turbo sucks for what it claims will happen when you install it as suggested If you want to shoot 70# out of a 60# bow....I would suggest buying a 70# and saving yourself the $69. BUT! ..... what they dont claim....I can do with this little jewel HELLO FLOAT!! I went from 0 - 25 to 0 - 30 yards with 1" elevation change. I added 8 yards to my second pin and the same to my third pin. Previous gang adjustment was 25 - 35 - 45 yards New gang adjustment is 30 - 40 - 50 yards with a 1/64" tighter pin grouping. This was accomplished with 1# added, which equated to 3fps. Speed for the sake of speed isn't always the end game I am very happy with the Bow Turbo and what I have been able to do with it in terms of changing the cam let off and cam cycle curve. If I actually did what the manufacturer of Bow turbo suggests.... could shoot (perhaps) 40 yards on one pin (I could also start replacing limbs every season)

First day with the 2010 Kobalt . Started with GT Ultralight 600 shafts and a 75gr. head which got us to 254grn. Did the first round on the chrono before touching anything Bore out the nocks and rechecked Timed the cams Tuned the rest Installed the bow turbo at static state Before starting, we got ahold of a still warm Doe that I had seen while coming home from OH. With the bow in it's old state...the penetration at 23 yards was excellent if not total. The shot cut one rib, centered another and exited the rear plate of the scapula. The arrow stopped 2" short of the fletchings
