I found that squaring the shafts with the G5 ASD made a big difference in my arrows. My groups tightened up and every broadhead I put on spins true right from the get go.
I wish I had more to offer.

I have to ask...I just have too. WHy?...oh why!...why dont you folks use feathers? I did a couple of searches on XB sites and the main reason people prefer vanes is durability. There is some thoughts regarding drag and noise but tests indicate this is not a big factor. In some cases feathers are more accurate than vanes but the up keep, especially in nasty weather is a big turn off. ;D In my case I would probably "rub them the wrong way" trying to carry the crossbow through brush and vines ;D Ghost

They work great for me .....in three different bows. I'm using 2* offset on GT shafts. I too had problems with consistency until I went with high FOC arrow, 18-20%.

The only way to find out what is happening to Blazer vanes shot out of my excal is to rebuild the arrows. I am resembling my Gold Tip Laser II arrows paying very close attention to squaring the shafts, weighting and bring the inserts to exactly 140 grains, and making sure the inserts are in the true center of the shaft. I have taken 125 grain field points and turned them to exactly 100 grains. This way I know the are perfectly balanced. A cock vane will be fletched on the high side of each arrow shaft. The arrows will be fletched with 4 inch Druavanes. As soon as I get my Xmas present (Spider Web Target) I will set up an in door 20 yard range and test these arrows for true flight. I hope these arrows will set the standard to be used when testing shafts fletched with Blazer vanes. Since this is cabin fever time an in door target range and new arrows to test will help the time past. ;D Ghost I finally got the target and started to set up the indoor target range but realized just how many very expensive tools are too close to the potential arrow path. This is going to take a little time to set up or things could get really expensive. Ghost
