By the way, the backing is bamboo, belly is hickory, grip is white oak, black walnut, with a bit of pauduk on the grip and a dab of zebra wood above the shelf. Tips have a dab of white oak on them.

It is sealed with 3 coats of Tru-Oil gun stock finish.

Yeah, walnut - but cut from a knot on the tree. Makes for all the twisty grain. In the middle is, believe it or not, a thin layer of white oak.
I think this bow came in around 54 pounds at 28 inches once it was shot in.
