Is there anyone out there who does NOT unstring your all wood, or wood/bamboo bow as soon as you are done shooting? I mean a bow that has no glass in it. Just curious. However, if so, unstring it and tell me how much follow you have... If the follow is less than two inches after having been strung for a week - could you tell me how it was made?

i always unstring my bows when not in use, i also support my bows on a wall horizontally, with 4 pegs, not 2, i spent to much to not have them kept in best shape. i should say to he** with the compound and buy another custom longbow, hahahah

I wouldnt consider leaving my bow strung unless I am shooting it every day. Even then I generally will unstring it for a few days and shoot another bow after a week.

I would definitely not recommend leaving an all wood or wood/bamboo bow strung. It is gonna take much more set this way, robbing you of speed and energy.
BT....its kinda funny that you should mention damaging your bow with a stringer...that is exactly how I damged my only one.....Remember the boo/hickory bow I made, the one with the snakeskin? Same thing happened...I had just bought a new stringer, the type with the rubber pad. First time I used it, the pad slipped and the limb twisted, separating the glue line on one limb. That bow is now a wall hanger.

And covered very well (2nd your plug). I will stick with the inside arch/slide your hand up method. Not once have I slipped, or damaged a bow, and they have strung up perfect every time. Just personal preference.
