Got mine today BT. Thanks!
A very, very small amount leaked out; probably due to altitude difference at some point in shipment. I could smell it before I opened it and it was, maybe, one drop at the most! Though I won't, I think it smells good enough to eat myself...

Small children and animals. This isn't meant to be digested and there are warnings on the label. Please store high and dry. That being said.... I guess you can now see why a deer would investigate the scent trail that Butternut puts down.

The next set is made on the inside edge of a very wet swamp. I found a great (I think) dispenser besides cheese cloth. Paint stores are stocking poly nap rollers (cheap) which have hard plastic bodies to which the felt is attached. I used a hacksaw to cut a 1" section off a 9" roller body/ It takes the lure very well and is light enough to act as a very good wick I'll try and retrieve this camera tomorrow evening and then move everything to an area 5 miles from here. For the next couple of weeks I will move the camera every 24 to 36 hours....to totally different locations. Some of these area's will be in places where I have never been and have no idea if there are deer present or not. Most of the places that I am thinking of, I will never be able to hunt...but I can walk in to them to set up camera's.

Received mine today. Think I'll try the roller idea.

This is what you get when you do it as suggested I drew a blank on the roller pad and although it holds the scent very well...it just does not breath enough Same thing with the red cotton rag. This is something that I found out a few years ago but I have changed the scent since then...so I figured it was worth a try. Guess the cheese cloth is the best ....still

BT,
What do you think about using the Butternut in a scent bomb like those Tinks scent bombs where you pull up the wick and hang it on a tree / brush?

I didn't have any luck at all with those. Really, the best thing was the cheese cloth. Ask someone who has had butternut in their hands.....it is very strong!. If it doesn't work well with cloth or felt....I dont believe that anything does. I do think that there really hasn't been a lure good enough to show the difference between cloth and a better dispersant article...or someone would have already have made a fuss about the benefits of cheese cloth. I am not saying that I have a lock on anything...just that there aren't but a few good lures that will attract anything....when set out on an air current. I believe in Tinks original 69 and maple trail (defunct) and thats it...to be honest. Put it on a drag or put it in a scrape and I'll add a few more names to the list.....but when speaking of air bourn...only those previously listed. I am always trying diffrent things...but so far...nothing beats cheese cloth
