All right I believe a pic is worth a thousand words. I hope this clarifies all that I posted earlier Now it is time for the deer to show upThis pic shows the Butternut on the cheesecloth next to the corn pileThis pic shows were my trail cam is and you can see my tree stand location. Here is the view from my tree stand looking down on the corn pile. The deer will cross the fence in two places, 15-20 yards down the left side of the fence corner and 10-15 yards down the right side of the fence corner

Looks good but let me add a suggestion here.... Put a second scent post on top of the fence post. If you can draw a deer into that, by getting the scent up higher and on the breeze. Once they get that close, the ground source can take over from there. OR Use a teaspoon on that cloth. The reason being is that it is very close to the ground and it may take more aroma to make it dissipate into the surrounding area's. Not saying that it shouldn't work as is....just that if you get a dry run, try one of these suggestions.

I want success with this all most as much as you BT. Any success story can't hurt your sales and I want to be the first in Ohio to score using this attractant. I could put it out tonight but I need to make sure the cows can't reach it. If I am able to get it done I will post pics.

If it happens like it happened to me you will lose the cheese cloth, might find the arrow. They took mine the first night, just a smalll part was left wired to the tree. Good luck I really believe that this stuff works, have tried others and never had such a reaction and so fast!!! I'm going to take it out of the bush this weekend and will put it out again just before the opener of the season. I'm also feeding them cracked corn on the ground underneath the ButterNut. Good luck!

This is the kinda thing I have heard before I have also heard that there was no hit on the first and even second night...but eventually, they come by. If there isn't a deer near by then they cant smell it. BUT...if there is one near by...they seem to really come in on it.

They have been bush hogging the cow pasture and burning brush last night and today. I got good pics of them bush hogging ;D but no deer. No one is working out there tonight so may the deer will come through and I can get a pic.

The farm is only a couple minutes away and I had to run some airons, so I stopped by and put out another arrow and butternut. They have to be able to smell this.

Thats great! Will the camera pick up both scent posts? It won't get the one fence but it will take a pic of a deer if it comes to investigate it. Question: How well does the Butternut hold up to rain It has rained here allot wasn't sure if the Butternut would wash off the cheesecloth.
