A Local sporting goods store and a new Sporting Complex hosted a 3-D shoot yesterday. The 3-D shoot was 2 rounds of 19, with new Reinhart targets. Lyle and I ended up being the first ones to put arrows in most of the targets, so that was pretty fun. I actually ended up scoring in the top 5 overall. But they didn't use the scores for any prizes. You had to shoot the course and turn in your card to qualify for their Novilty Shot. 3 new Mathews Bow, a Double Bull Blind, a Glendell Full Rut Buck, and a Rack Pack Chair were the prizes for the shoots. First was the shoot for the blind, target and chair. They placed the target out in the field and you had to sit in the blind on the chair and hit the 1" dot they placed on the target. Everyone got one arrow and the ones that hit the dot would shoot off for the prizes with the one the closest to the center of the dot winning the blind, the next closest won the target and the 3rd recieving the chair. Lyle and I were close but no dot for either of us. The final Shoot for the Bows was a 4" Reinhart apple placed at 100 yards for the men and 65 yards for the women. One shot and who ever hit the apple won a new Matthews Bow. Lyle came very close but just missed the apple. Me, well I came home with a new Matthews Ignition Bow!!!! Now what to do? I shoot a Bowtech and now have a different bow for everyday of the week ;D

all right!!! did you know the distances on the apple or have to guess that too? they gave us the distance but the apple was set up across a draw. I have a 60 yard pin but have never really messed with it. I had to stack my pins off of my 50 yard pin. It's prettty easy to do on a target but on the 4 inch apple I had to stack using the hillside behind.
