At present on my bow the arrow rest is a stick on Cartel type rest. Within a short time of shooting the small piece that serves in place of a button wears out and I have to replace the stickon. I have the parts to install a pressure button, has anyone install one in place of the Cartel? Would it be worth the change? Looks like a simple thing to do. Thanks. is it normal for these to wear out so fast?

A Burger button will wear as well but wont wear as fast. The spring selection for the burger is important to consider and must be selected based on the arrows deflection around the riser. They used to come with spring kits, which is something to consider if you are going that route. I personally use furniture felts that I cut in quarters. A 1/4 wedge of the small table leg felt fits perfectly against the wall of the rest and lasts a long time.
