Well this one's truly a hybrid. PSE's Tac 15. The crossbow limbs and stock attach to an AR-15 lower (sold seperately). Advertised speed, over 402fps.

OMG, what happened to simple. ;D.......I will stick with my Ecalibur. BTW Illinois requires a crossbow bow to be 24 inches tip to tip.

The one thing that this crossbow is good at is firing up the anti people. Many crossbow hunters are afraid that this may set back gains in states that have come on board to allow crossbow use by all hunters.

$1,400 for HALF a crossbow. Still need to buy the AR15 lower unit...for about the same price. I'm thinkin' I could get at least 4 Excals for that...or 2 Tep Point lol

I have spent some time with this particular crossbow on the range. It is a monster! Fast, yes, but heavy and clumsy. It was designed to be used by the military special-op boys. The research and development was paid for by a government grant for the military. However, why the military would use a crossbow when it has silenced automatic weapons is beyond me. On the range the only way they would let us shoot it was using the bi-pod that comes attached to the unit. This is not a hunting bow boys, it is a freak. The Excalibur Vixen or the TenPoint GT Flex, now that is a hunting bow.
Oh, and for those who take great pleasure referring to the crossbow as a “crossgun” because it is a bow mounted on the rifle stock, please note: The rifle is a just a small cannon mounted on a crossbow stock as the crossbow was around hundreds of years before the firearm. Some folks have real problem keeping the chronological order of their primitive weapons straight; especially those who shoot a compound bow and lump themselves in with traditional archery equipment users who liberally attack the crossbow.
