I think most bow manufacturers exaggerate the speed claims to a certain extent but that is too big of a difference to tolerate. From what you have said, I don't see how you could get any more speed on a viable hunting set up. I wonder how they chrono'd it, in a perfect world?, in a vacuum? Maybe with a lower than standard grain arrow? I think I could deal with a 5% or less variance but anything more and it's going back for a refund come hell or high water.

Hey Spiker...One thing to keep in mind as you shop for a new bow...my Elite is right on with advertised specs. I get the idea from other folks that have them that they live up to the claims. That being said, I am also a big Mathews fan...so I'd certainly look into a Monster or Reezen 6.5. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hold the presses!! I took it to a shop near me today, and the guy straightened it right out. I'll be shooting at 70# from now on with this bow...because I can. It's as smooth a draw as any bow I've shot, and shockfree.....and now....SPEEEED.... 70# 28" 332.1 FPS avg. You should have seen my face when it lit up the chrono, and smoked down range..wow..thank god there are smarter people than me when it comes to tuning a bow.

Hold the presses!! 70# 28" 332.1 FPS avg. You should have seen my face when it lit up the chrono, and smoked down range..wow..thank god there are smarter people than me when it comes to tuning a bow. I had the chrono all ready this morning (after talking to you last night) I shot the 70# BK2 @ 28" with a 352grn. arrow and got 342fps (This is the bow I set up for 3-D a few years ago.) That bow is birth certified at 354fps and has a +/- of 3fps from Bowtech. (Hurt my shoulder...hauling all that weight!) As I have been saying (for years) .... 350 is top speed and what ever a manufacture is claiming beyond that is B.S. 99.9% of the time. Now let me add.....this was a 300 shaft that I shot and not the 200 that your shooting. I am not sure that I would dare shoot a 200 @ 70# That said...if I did, it would be with a 75gr. head and 65 if I could find it and at 26".....near the back of the riser. Having said this....you would then be below 5gpp. This is the stuff I have spent my years doing and I like doing it...but it is time consuming and expensive. Consider carefully what road you are starting down before continuing

Yes master, I am listening.... I will get this bow to hit 340 ...I'm pretty sure. I will use a 350+ arrow.......I will come to the dark side. Buchshot..Having all 3 screws loose that hold the cam module on didn't help anything.

After getting off the phone with you today....I am getting a bit more nervous. That many variables and possibilities just starts eating at me Wish I could have your bow to play with while your gone.

Good luck Spiker. Hope you find what you're seeking. The fit and finish surprises me a little with an APA from all I've read, but I've never seen one in person.
