I know this is an Archery Site but this is Our Rights as a Nation. Vote and take a look at what 1.4 million Americans think. This gives you the right to make your opinion heard. It takes 5 seconds It is still a live link. Our new Attorney General has already said this is one of his major issues. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms. First - vote on this one. Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published. Vote in the USA Today poll - click on the link below. The Question is: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms? Vote here: Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! www.usatoday.com/news/quickquestion/2007/november/popup5895.htm

If we protect the 10th amendment....we wont have to worry too much about the 2nd.

Unfortunately the constitution and the bill of rights along with any other rules or rites are not what governs the people unless they force it to be. What rules us is it's interpretation by those in power at the time who may or may not agree.
The only way to cut the legs out from under the government is for the market to deal fairly with the people and the people to deal fairly with each other. If it doesn't the people will turn to the government for "help" just like it is now. The wolves in the market attacked the sheep and drove the flock to the wolves in the government. The cycle must end and it's for sure the government wont. Prosperity of this country for all in this country has always been in the hands of the market to keep or loose. It alone has the power to make the government a non issue.
Both the government and the market desire the people to be their slaves, history teaches that the freedom to keep and bear arms always is restricted for slaves because the owners fear a revolt. To bad the highly educated free market isn't as smart as a stupid country boy. We wouldn't need to fear the lose of the second if the market just acted like the good shepherd the sheples need. Instead they just through of the cover and the blood bath began, now they're the ones getting et up a bigger stronger pack and were all under the government shepherds.

Speaking of the topic...Am I the only one spooked by the almost bare shelves that used to contain ammunition and reloading components? I understand the panic that ensued when Obama was sworned in... Then the hoarding of guns and ammo began. But now I see a possible sinister outcome. The select few who could afford this indulgence gets a knock on the door form the ATF for "stockpiling". They lose everything. The rest of us are going to be left with nothing but ammo and firearms that are certainly either going to be taxed to death or outright banned. So, either you'll have to be rich or resort to black market goods. Not to sound too conspiracist here, but the makings of BIG disarmament are in place.

Yeah, some folks are getting a bit crazy over all of this, I've been looking for some ammo for awhile now. As far as the ATF thing....I dunno, the second doesn't say you can only have five guns and 100 rounds for each, in fact there is no limit to how much you can own, not to mention they are in for a helluva fight if they start trying to disarm law abiding gun owners. It's going to be very interesting to see what this regime of ours will try, most remember what happened the last time they passed a ban, the Dems lost power in congress, as well as the White house to a lesser extent. Like I say it'll be interesting.....now if I could just find some decent cheap ammo Ster

One thing I've noticed about your posts, Nodog, is that they are well thought out.
