Just ordered an Alpha-Max 35 for Jen. 50lb, 28", black riser, camo limbs. Flourescent purple, and purple Winners Choice Strings. She is excited. hopefully it will be here by the end of the month. I have to say, the AM 35 is a seriously sweet shooting bow. I'm not sure I've shot a bow that held as good as this bow. i'm so tempted to order one for myself!!! I have too much Mathews clothing though...lol

Congrats on the new addition tedicast. I have been seriously think about the Alphamax myself! I may have to if the positive feedback keeps rolling in.

We got Jens Alpha-Max Wednesday and got it set up. I'm more and more impressed with this bow! 43lbs @ 28", with a 230 grain arrow at 287fps. I was shocked. Her Selena atthe same specs was in the low 250's. Didn't get the WC strings, as my bow tech didn't order them, so probably gonna go with Vapor Trails.

OMG! 287! What arrows, arrow length, headweight, and fletching is she using? Spiker...She is shooting Golt Tip Ultra-Light 600's, cut at 25 1/2", which are just barely long enough on the Alpha-Max, but were perfect on the Selena. She has 35 grain glue in nibs, 6 inch OzCrest wraps, and 3"duravanes, and stock GT nocks. Total weight is 227.5 grains. Through paper they were showing just a bit of a weak spine tear, but they are grouping awesome. Not worried about the tear as she isn't gonna be shooting broadheads with this set-up. The rig paper tuned a perfect bullet hole with a 500 spine. Gonna head up to the shop this week, and put a 300 grain arrow through the chrono with a 60lb/28" Alpha Max 35 to see how much more speed I would gain for 3D with a switch. |
