always a good thing when the wife does not have any lipstick .. mess with the girls - it's fun. Tell 'em about archery too, hoochie mama's, hot lips, etc. with-out a little more research the 400 spine is gonna be very close to what you want. bottom pic showed the green fletch with some damage to the edge - that looks like contact. Your fletch shouldn't come off though - bad prep for the glue job! Seriously, I would take the ones that need re-fletching and setup with some blazers.

I've got some Blazers ready to be put on! The bad thing is I'm hesitant to make the change ... mainly because I don't know where the contact is coming from. That being said, switching to Blazers might just fix the issue. I wish I could have shown how much I actually had to move the rest, and sights, to get the bow to shoot as well as it does now (which isn't great, not even acceptable in my personal opinion) ... but a hell of a lot better than before. Lets see on the QAD rest I have I started on/ around the 2 and ended on/ around the 4. On the sights I started on/ around the 4 and ended on/ around the 7 ... horizontal ... height wasn't much of a change. I was getting one hell of a dolphin out of it before, not NEARLY as much now. To get rid of MOST of the dolphin, I actually just removed the brass nock ... put an arrow (bottom of nock) where the top of the brass nock was, still had it. Put an arrow (top of nock) at the bottom of the brass nock location and the dolphin ... was MUCH better. I put it thru the Chrono and it was 60 lbs - 394 gr arrow @ 234 FPS. Fooled around with it a bit, actually took off the STS and fired three more. They weren't as consistant as the others were, but they read ... 238, 250, 244. All with the same arrow.

Some of that on the Green vane might be what's left of the lipstick that was on there from yesterday. To try to keep it from getting everywhere I tried to wipe most of it off KNOWING I have more to use the next time I want to tune the bow ... well, it didn't exactly happen that way. always a good thing when the wife does not have any lipstick .. mess with the girls - it's fun. That's why you have to break into the woman's other stash to wipe down those vanes...Acetone! Don't let her catch you though.

LOL!! Yeah, that's a closely guarded area you're talking about there, however I think it might be possible.

Okay ... when I stopped shooting my bow the other day, I knew I was CLOSE!!! I was still having some erratic arrow flight but it was side to side. I found the culprit ... I know this is going to sound stupid and it's obvious ... vane contact. Obvious right? Yeah, but it's WHERE it was contacting!!!! The top vane was scratching the surface of the BOTTOM OF THE SIGHT!!! Holy Jackrabbit Batman! The cause of that was the "mole skin" or whatever it is apparently had something between the rest and the mole skin. I didn't look myself the man at the shop did, and took care of it for me. He said it looked like some grass of somekind. Wasn't a BIG hit or anything like that, just enough to make the arrow fly crazy! After fixing it, I tore up two arrows, the guy refletched them for me ... his charge ... a hand shake.
