Some time when I retreave my arrows from the target I will have one arrow that is not at the same angle as the others. Is that from the target or did it hit at a differant angle?

Very likely it is the target but mark that arrow and watch it each time you pull. If it is always that arrow...junk it. If not....it's the target or you.

With new arrows, or when picking my hunting arrows, I carry a Sharpe at the range and mark which arrows group together. Most of the time I can figure why some arrows behave differently, once in a while I got one that defies logic and intelligence - then I have it marked so I can ask other archers about it. (And demonstrate for others, too!)

I always number my arrows. Sometimes you have to rotate an arrow on it's nock when it consistently is a flier. Sometimes, I even strip the fletching off a flier, and re fletch on different spots. Now, the variable is wind, and target density. Sometimes the target is shot up, and causes the arrow to follow a worn path...giving the impression that it hit at that angle. Wind will play tricks with arrow angle as well.
