If thats all your trying to do then I would seriously consider contacting Dorge @ Firenock in reference to the Aerovane II Test results so far are showing trajectory gains that would exceed what you would accomplish with the weight reduction. At least this is the way I would go first. Dorge is a great guy and if you call, he will take all the time needed to explain what he can do for you. Worst case scenario, you are out maybe $20. for the vanes and jig adapter if you decide to not use the Aerovane II

I would suggest thinking about it like this -
How badly do you not want to buy a new bow? If you really don't wish to buy a new bow, why tempt fate and materials? If you are on the fence about spending the bucks for a new bow, and really want more speed, then risking a cracked limb won't matter so much...
