No way! I swear when I read that you were doing chrony readings at 20+ yds, all I could think of was that if I did that, the chrony would be in danger. damn..

Sorry to hear about your chrono Doegirl but the penetration looks to be outstanding. At 30 yards and still that much power those deer don't have a chance this year .

Are you still shooting the slim shafts?

No but what I hope to do is test with the XT shafts and then turn the bow down re-tune and shoot with the lighter shaft to see what it affects. I know Flat flight has been affected but increasing the draw weight for the heavier shafts has helped that. I think it will be an interesting comparison. All shafts will be weighed and chrono to see what they area doing at that time as well. I think it will also be interesting to see what happens to the KE numbers between the heavier/slower shaft to the lighter/faster shafts. Not sure how all this will turn out.

Me thinks you will be happier with the lighter, faster shafts.

I is about time I started posting things and at least get some chrono results up here and some calculated KE numbers. These numbers kind of surprised me. All total weights were calculated using the following arrow. Now lets start with the Boss Bullet Muzzy Phantom 2 Blade Magnus Stinger 4 blade Magnus Stinger 2 Blade Now lets see if we can tabulate this all together. Boss Bullet 3 Blade Total Weight 320 gr., 267 ft/sec., KE 50.67 Muzzy Phantom 2 Blade 331 gr., 264 ft/sec., KE 51.24 Magnus Stinger 4 Blade 342 gr., 262 ft/sec., KE 52.14 Magnus Stinger 2 Blade 331 gr., 263 ft/sec., KE 50.85 OK what I find the most interesting about this is the KE numbers. The Heaviest arrow with the slowest speed gets the highest KE. Interesting. The Flat flight is not great but I am able to shoot out to 30 yards with one pin. I do have to aim a little above bull but I am OK with that. I still need to get the draw weight of the bow and I will and post it for you.
