To be ready for season 3-D's are a great way to improve on your skills Different angles in which your body will be placed will train you in on how to make these shots that are not on a perfect lay of the land. But you are going to have to do ALOT of shoots to work on a problem area Consider stump shooting as a part of a daily/weekly routine to prefect problem areas that you may have. Many wooded areas are open to the public and shooting off trails as you hike is great for body and soul. Even a dirt road and it's ditches make a good area for stump shooting with many targets such as cans and paper and the angle is more like the angles you shoot from a tree stand. The Zwickey Judo point is my favorite and I have yet to lose an arrow while using this head. I have also never broken one There are a hand full of other manufactures that make grabber heads such as the Judo Point but why mess with success

Well, I just got my Zwikey Judo heads today and have spent the past 45 min. stump shooting with them in my back yard....pine cones, leaves, grass tufts and anything else I could hone in on. I was shooting from 15 yards to 45 yards and must say I am very impressed. I put them through a lot of torture including glancing them off some rocks. When I quit, the heads were full of mud and upon inspection, there was absolutely no damage or breakage on any of them....not even scratches that I could see. They appear to be able to take a beating. The flight is amazingingly on target. They are everything BT says and more so in view of all this, I highly recommend them for your practice session. I shot up hill, down hill and on level and was hitting pine cones (about 3-4" long) all the way out to 45 yards. I just put new WC strings on and was shooting CX Maxima 28" arrows w/blazer vanes 7.3 gpi at 57#. The maximas held up perfectly and I had no trouble finding any of them. The judos almost make the arrows "stand up" so you can see them. They will have a permanent place in my "archery box".

Well, what a nice warm day here. About 63 tops today so I decided to get in some practice. Sure.............. wind was constantly blowing 25-30 with higher gusts. I did manage to shear off one of my blazers with a "slick trick". I could barely stand up straight, let alone hold my bow steady. At any rate, even with the high wind I was keeping my shots within 4" at 20 yds and a little more spread out at 30. Did a little "stump shooting" back in my hunting area too. Some great fun with that and saw a LOT of deer sign but no sheds yet. Just nice to be outside in the fresh air!
