How much importance do you guys put on FOC (Forward of Center)? In the past I always tried to keep mine arrows in the 10% range. I know many of the traditional shooters lean towards the heavier side of 13 to 15.
I am shooting Carbon Express Terminator Hunter Select cut to 28in with 3 Blazer vanes. I get 13% FOC with a 125 gr head and 11% with a 100gr head. Some go with a lighter head (less foc) with a lighter shaft and a heavier head (more foc) with a heavy shaft.
I just put a drop away rest on and have to re-tune the bow if the weather clears today.

For compound I want around 10%. Although last year I shot just under 7% with hammer sst. It flew great and I took deer clean out to 47yds.
I like 12+% for trad gear. That is what I am told is good and it seems to work for me.

I am also shooting for 10% FOC on the compound with a far wider spread for traditional.
I put alot of importance on it for the down range flight.
before the trajectory drop I am not concerned...say 20 yards. but beyond I am ready to build around a FOC measurement.
