Alright....I guess it's been 25 years because they are back and it looks like there is a following starting up I remember these things in the Herters catalog back in the seventies if memory serves me correctly. If this a sign that the market is out of new idea's? Too me this is nothing different than the turbo nock and I never found a reason to use that either. Best case scenario...it will work. Worst case....it is a high visual mark headed toward an animal who can now not only hear the incoming arrow but see it as well. Not my cup of tea to say the least. So.....if it makes the arrow louder and more visible....why are people flocking to it?

Remember the latest restaurant that opened in your area Well people flock to that simply because it's something new or different or improved, or whatever Doesn't mean that the food is better or the prices are attractive Just seems that human nature has to try the latest thing-a-bob If it's good, it'll stick. If not, it will likely resurface again in a few years

I didnt understand that either. and they are bright oransge, yellow , or white I have seen deer pull moves worthy of a matrix movie to avoid an arrow speeding at them at 300 fps that would amaze you. I'm sure every one else has too. now that is with a fletching that is 2 mm wide . Now factor in a bright circle flying at them. Why would anyone want to lessen their odds while trying to gain accuracy that can be accomplished with better bow tuning and more practice

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oX-xi_IzIk&feature=relatedO.K. .... in this video , the guy makes some good points In high cross winds this item would seemingly have the advantage Never though of that myself but I'll admit that this is a good thing to consider I like the ease of indexing as well but thats not going to get me to try them. I still see more negatives than positives but with that said...these fobs definitely have an advantage in one respect....maybe a couple

I'll try and get some pictorial data here. I'm one of those 'have try new thingambob' guys. Especially when the marketing utalizes physics (FOB's talk about the Bernulli Principle, although not by name). Anyway, I tried some out and took pictures. I will try to link to the pics in photobucket. 40 yards with field tips. Thirty yards with Outback Supreme heads (125 grain) 40 yards. 50 yards. 60 yards. 20 yards with different arrows and heads (Muzzy Phantom SS, 200 grain). I hope I haven't created a huge breach of protocol with all the links in one post. But I don't find a method to insert an image directly.

Just copy, and paste the IMG code here, that you see at the bottom of choices on photobucket.... I'm very surprised to see that the Fobs all hit higher than the Blazers. My tests have shown them to hit lower at almost every distance past 30 yds. My bow is tuned, and my Broadheads are right on with my FPs. Blazers have a Montec, and a field point, Fobs have a Magnus Stinger, and a field point. The Stinger is the bottom shot. This was 40 yds, but I had the same results at all distances over 30. At 20 yds, they were all right on.....

I'm not convinced that my results are nothing more than I don't shoot the FOB's as good as I do Blazers. The Techie from Starflight told me that what I saw happens every now and again and to keep shooting them. Keep shooting, I think I can handle that!
Just copy and paste eh? Nothing involving the 'insert image' icon?
Thanks!

Then just paste into your post.
