Ok, last season I baught some Mega-tarsal Gland Plus. But, I only got through about half the bottle. My question is, will it still work or be as effective? Also, I baught some Trails End #307. It says 'Early Season- Really Brings In the Deer'. Well, my bow season starts August 31st! Will it be effective that early?

Can't imagine why it wouldn't I know a lot of people that cut the glands themselves and have used them the following year.

I would suggest getting some real ones. I have never had better success then with tarsal glands in attracting deer. There is lots of road kill and I bet you have buddies who let their tarsal glands go to waste.
To answer your question. I dont see why not. Shouldnt be a problem

I get rid of all my old scents before the beginning of each new season. Urine has a tendency to turn to ammonia and that doesnt attract deer. Most scents have a preservative in them to make them last longer and its shelf life is only so long too.
As for real tarsel glands, I like to cut them off and keep them in the fridge during the season. What isnt used goes in the freezer until they are needed.

I took the same thing off a doe last year during the rut and froze it. Any ideas if it would still work or what to put on it and freshen it up? Season opens September 29.

My Grandfather did this for more years than I can guess at knowing and he always felt that it was worth freezing so that has to amount for something since he wasn't one for gimmicky tricks that didn't work. He would just remove the hide that held it and put that in a plastic bag. I remember taking a whiff a few times as a boy and it smelled like the real deal , I remember that much
