I tried the WB QS and didnt care for it made my vanes all black n ugly. But for a beginner I would highly recomend it. It is JUST like shooting a prong rest in reverse. Would anyone hate a prong rest becuse their vanes got all wavy and marked up from hitting a prong? No, they would know to make an adjustment. They would adjust their nock to make sure the vanes passed through the gap in the prong rest. The WB is exactly the same in reverse. You need to adjust the nock so that the vanes do NOT pass through the black center at the bottom. You either; 1) were using a first generation WB with all black bristles. 2) Were not rotating your nock on the newer style to miss the center black bristles that allow a better arrow shaft resting spot.

I have an all black WB, never had any of those problems till i had someone els make them up, think i got a 1/2 dozen of them.
the vanes never flew off but they would curl and rip, they were a soft plasic to explain the vane. probems i had started the day i shot them with curling, and over time ripping.
the guy who sold me the bow and set it all up, the vanes were to explaine it, were a harder stiff plastic. never had a single problem. ive put the same 5 pract arrows threw it all summer and still no problems.

I've used the biscuit for years, starting with the little cheap all black and was using accu-vanes. I went to the new style a few years ago and went to Blazer vanes. I have no problem with accuracy and no problem with the blazers vanes. NAP quick spin vanes works well with the biscuit too!

I use one and love it. I hunted without it last year and had the arrow fall off the rest and make a noise when I did not want noise. Not to say you want noise but it was at the worst times that this would happen.

Just got a buck at 15 yards. He did not hear me draw and did not jump the string based on the noise. Using Radial X Weaves, 2" Blazers, and WB DLX QS.

I like the idea of shooting one arrow thru the biscuit with lipstick on the vanes, then cutting all the bristles with lipstick contamination completely out. I think hunting lover has himslef a great idea, and I am gonna try it once to see.

Shoot a GKF Whisper Disc if that's what your planning to do.

I use a Trophy Taker drop away, and really like it, I have some old high industrial carpet (black) and took a small peice, put it on the "shelf" and now when it drops you almost don't hear a thing, so it's totally quite. My Dad uses a WB and loves the thing...Question though...if you are fletching with helical how does the WB "handle" that? Anyone do it?

f you are fletching with helical how does the WB "handle" that? Anyone do it? I'm using Grayling Jig and have as much twist as I can put in with Blazers. WB handles it just fine.
