How does everyone here shoot? Until the past couple years, I always shot one eye closed. 2 or 3 years ago, I made myself start shooting with both eyes open. It gives you a much better view of your target, and I believe it helped me become a more consistent shot. It took a couple weeks of really having to pay attention to keeping my left eye open, but it pretty quickly became natural to me.

I shoot both open with the wheels and the recurve but as I move away (with the recurve) beyond 25 yrds. I close one eye slightly and when I am out to 40yrds. it's fully closed.

Both open. My dominant eye(Rt) is so strong it overpowers the left to the extent I do not really see much out of it. It does collect light, and therefore it extends myshooting/hunting time mornings and evenings. I am more accurate with both open as well.

Left eye closed to gain right eye dominance at initial sight-in. Both eyes open at hold and release.

i shoot both eyes open, same as when using rifle scopes. i found something really cool............ i tried out a copper john bowsight that had the flip cap on it, i used both eyes open, with the cap closed to cover the pins, yet you can still see the mirage of the pins on the target, and still shoot it. thats crazy, maybe more than me

Both open. I used to squint the left eye... I now think it a mistake. Both eyes wide open, focus on the spot you want to hit!

I'm new to archery, about a year experience, but I too have switched to both eyes open. I found I'm more accurate on 3D targets, and I'm able to see in lower light conditions far better. It came natural to me, since I've always been shooting shotguns at waterfowl using that same method.

You got educated early doeslayer It's really the best way to shoot for the majority of people although there can be exceptions.
