The first time I drew a 50# the bow shook so violently, I was lucky to even hit the bail of hay I had as a back stop ;D That wasn't a problem but I believe I overdid it. Apparently shooting a recurve uses different muscles in the back and shoulders. (I think someone said something about that either in this thread or another one ) I have been so sore between my shoulder blades and behind them since Sat. Yes, I am one that has to learn the hard way and prove others right.

If you shoot only stick for a couple of months, then pick up your compound....it will be a joke....how fluid and steady you will be.

When I was there Fri., I just missed a deal on a Martin Dreamcatcher with a dozen arrows fletched w/ broadheads, quiver, glove, everything for $300. Shop owner said there was that much in arrows and broadheads. damn, too late again.

I hope not. Tracy is keeping an eye out for me. If anybody comes in looking to unload some trad equipment then my phone will ring.
