jlc - That is a fine deer! Congratulations, sir!!! And thank you, big time, for taking the time to post your deer here. This is what I was talking about earlier on - big deer, trad gear, 12 yard shot. How cool is that? !!! If you can find the time to post a note about the story behind the shot, I would sure love to read it... Thanks again for posting the pic, and quick details!

Yes!...awesome is the only descriptive word I can find to use in describing the deer, the feat and the man that tied this all together

JLC and Arwin Nice deer and Congrats!!! I had a stand picked out to give the recurve a try this year but have been unable to hunt it so far. I convienced my cousin, the landowner, to start bowhunting again and he saw a nice buck from that stand and was really excited about it so I have been waiting form him to take a deer first before even attempting to hunt the stand. Deer pass by this stand almost daily as it is a pinch point in a central travel corridor between bedding and feeding areas. But I hopefully plan to use the recurve late next week. We'll see.
