I found some back-straps in the bottom of the freezer so I gave this one a shot. In My Humble Opinion.. THIS IS THE BEST RECIPE I HAVE EVER HAD FOR BACK-STRAPS!!!Ingredients:Deer back-strap Bacon- thin sliced Toothpicks Cream cheese Teriyaki Sauce - preferably thick Garlic powder (not garlic salt) Pepper Pepper-Jack cheese- thin slices 1 link of wild boar sausage- cut or shredded into fine pieces. Jalapenos- remove seeds and cut into slivers Onion- Cut into slivers 1in long Meat tenderizer mallet Lay the backstap out and cut 3/4 in fillets. Take a meat tenderizer and beat until the meat is flattened out to the size of a softball. Now dip the meat into a shallow dish of the Teriyaki Sauce . Then dust with garlic powder and pepper. Now spread cream cheese on one entire side of the meat. The more the better. Now sprinkle some of your shredded wild boar sausage in the middle. Add your onions and Jalapeno slivers. Now take one side of the meat and roll it all up like a sushi roll. Wrap the roll in bacon and secure with toothpicks. Now cook on the grill until the bacon is cooked like you like it. About five minutes before you think they are completely done add the slice of pepper jack cheese to top of each. Melt cheese on top, and your done.

That is one mouth-waterin' recipe, Spiker. I sent my wife out to buy ingredients, so I'll be giving it a try soon. BTW: she and my two boys love venison, so it's a joy to bring it home to them (when I am lucky enough to hit something that is. ). Thanks for sharing, bud.

Dude!! That looks awesome. The name is kinda a deterrent but after looking at the ingredients and the pics.. Mouth watering even!! I'll have to try this with blackbuck backstrap but that that don't work I only have 4 more weeks before I can start replenishing my supply of backstrap.

You guys won't be sorry. I didn't know what they were called when I made them, but after describing them to a buddie he said, oh! you mean Atomic Buff Turds...to which I googled, and found that they really are called that..

All hail to King Spiker for the most awesome deer recipe I have ever tried. This stuff is awesome, even my wife and daughter asked for seconds. We had this with some friends over on Saturday and it sounded like we were having a sexual experience at the table . If you haven't made this yet, you need to. We are trying one of Ardon's recipes next week. Probably with a side of Buffalo Turds.
