I try and stay at 20yds or less. it seems almost all my trad kills have been around 17yds. I practice further, but after 25yds I am either on or WAY of, so I just keep my shots close. At first i was worried about "what if", like what if the biggest buck I've ever seen comes in at 35yds and I don't have my compound. I've learned you just have to jump in and go for it! It can pay off big time!
