I just called Rinehart and asked about the marking 1yd-2yd.After talking to 4 people they said they were for a shot 1+2 yds from your treestand.Almost straight down .Makes sense . Any way my first 3 shots at 45 deg. from 20 yds.

I am going to disagree with a 1 yard difference equaling that change Certainly I am not agreeing that marking a target for those ranges is encouraging anything more than encouraging potential losses. Very poor idea based on that answer Actually.....I cant except that answer even though it came from the factory.....just makes no sense at all To be honest....I am dumbfounded by that answer and cant find the words to express my shock Speechless?....yup ..... if I had to speak I would be speechless because I am not even sure of how to comment on this idea Flabbergasted!...yes!....flabergasted On another note ..... excellent grouping!

;D ;D Boy oh Boy - I called Rinehart and talked to John (the owner I'm pretty sure). they probably got 5 calls today about 1-2 yard markings huh? Anyhow John wasn't real definitive on the markings: he agreed they were 1 and 2 yard elevated treestand markings. He also agreed they weren't anatomically correct kill zone markings - hey I like an honest answer even when vague . I got the impression (without him saying it) that it is a marketing ploy - at least it gets people thinking about kill zones. Great group for a 45deg shot remember to aim for the exit ... Thanks Spiker for the extra kick (I had to call on some other business actually )

Royden - I noticed that as soon as I posted it .I have to get used to 3-D and not 2-D that I have been shooting . I picked up one of my ladder treestands yesterday and will try and get it set up to practice from.I hope to be "spot on"by Sept

There you go! Marketing ploy! .... marketing what?!...wounds?....losses?. Good God!....how about marking up a target for distances and scenarios that enforce good idea's Can those shots work?....sure , any blind squirrel can find a nut occasionally but that has nothing to do with it I am shocked and disgusted to be very honest I don't have time to drop an email or make a phone call today but I will.....just to point out what they obviously are not looking at from the view point of what practice is intended to be.
