Land fish I love it! HAH! Where did ya find most of those?
IE under a elm tree etc.

Actually, they were in pretty dry, flat areas that have been flooded in the past. They were near creeks and out in the sunny patches. When I wandered off into the shaded areas where there were dead elms, I found very few.

I have never seen these in person but many times in photo's. I'll never have one I guess because I just dont trust myself to any knowledge aside from first hand. Pictures are great but ...... Good deal if your able  |

BT, once you find one or see one, they are almost impossible to mistake for anything else. They look, feel and smell like no other mushroom. (Actually, they are a truffle) The best way is to go with someone who knows already, as you say.
