Thanks for starting this board BT. I have been trying to help a friend of mine and his cohorts get crossbows allowed in Louisiana for everyone during all seasons, not just deer(really wanting hogs and deer). As it stands right now only handicapped hunters can use them and ONLY during deer season. They cant even shoot a hog with them. We battled back and forth with the Bayou State Bowmen about it and they didnt want it around. We even tried to get them to allow it during ML and rifle. NOPE! So we said ok, if you wont compromise, we are taking it all! Archery, ML, and rifle period!

I am not wanting to start anything over this post, just saying thanks for allowing crossbow hunters a place to talk about there equipment. I dont own one, but I always have that option now that Tennessee has allowed them for all hunters.

I am not an expert on the subject but I would like to talk with people who are involved and do want to do it.

People put up barriers based mostly on hearsay and rumors and most times haven't even tried to do these things themselves.

Kind of a Klan mentality where you beat up anyone who thinks differently just because they need a beating ....for even thinking that way in the first place
I.E.: being different.

When you run into guys like that remind them that they would be hunting during a gun season if the first archers had thier way because they said the same thing about the compound.

Better yet...tell them about me and invite them in for an education ` LOL!
