It does not matter at all Primitive Weapons are just that and muzzle loaders are classified as primitive The fact is that some bows will out perform others and the crossbow falls between the Recurve and compound in that respect. The Black powder is so over the top anymore that it really shouldn't even be considered primitive IMO. (not when you can cut holes at 200yrds. in some cases) You are correct smj in that we need to honor each other and not try and one up

I'm with flatbow on this one. A crossbow is a cross between a bow and a "what"? Or is it that the "bow" lies "across" the stock? Anyway what I mean is that I agree it should be allowed during the rifle or muzzleloader season, and not the archery season. This is a weapon better suited for the chuckle head army where people are wearing red, and accidental shootings can be minimized. All we need is a guy in full leafy wear getting shot by a newbie because he thought he was a hedge hog or something.
