Commemorative Bucks of Michigan scored it but he declined to have it entered in the books. It was said to have been very real. I have the utmost respect for someone that can forego the accolades in favor of his own honor!!

I personally don't care how you want to take them, crossbow, traditional, compound, I will support hunting in general. WE ALL HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER NO MATTER HOW WE TAKE ANIMALS OR THE A N T I HUNTING PEOPLE WILL HAVE A FIELD DAY WITH US. We have some big named enemies that have lot of money.
It does really p#$% me off when a guy or gal that shoots a compound bow compains about a crossbow though.

I did not mean anybody here. I have been other places where people got really upset even talking about crossbows, and then would go on and on about their compound bow.

You know, my fundamental issue with the crossbow is the rifle stock, and being held at full draw by the trigger. (Now, I am not trying to pick a fight so lets keep civil here!) I draw the line between a compound and a crossbow as stated above: Flex is in the wrong plane and you are not holding it at full draw. I know, some compounds almost hold themselves back, and several other statements could be made to cloud the issue - but the point is does there have to be an issue? I think that we need to consider the state of hunting 50 years from now to answer that question. I would go so far as to suggest that what we should do is redefine "primitive hunting." Group everyone that we can in to that group and start pulling together for a change - spear, knife, crossbow, bow, maybe even clubs or battle axes - before we loose something important to us all! I like my public ground hunting. I like my bow. If I had to hunt on private land, or a game farm, I'd be screwed. I think that what matters is that we have more votes when it's time to do so! Call a bow a bow, and a crossbow a crossbow... We don't have to try to call them the same thing - does that really matter?
