You are 25 yards out. Bow has a flat flight of 15 yards and second pin is 25 yards. 10 yard drop on the arrow is normally 16" The deer is 10' above you

Well, since I have never shot a deer with a bow and the season is fast approaching, I'll take a crack at this Others will help analyze where I went wrong in my reasoning and then I won't make the same error in the field I'm thinking that I would use the 25 yard pin as it should only hit a little low on the 10 foot uphill shot. My aim point would be 6 which I would think get double lung and hopefully heart Seems somewhat obvious to me so I suspect that I am wrong but, hey, that's how a person learns

I'm shooting #6 with my 25yd pin. 10' of elevation has nearly no effect on arrow trajectory. if anything it will be the same as shooting down 10' and you will hit a bit high, maybe an inch or so. the actual range would be more like 23yds instead of 25yds.

I've looked at the picture a little more closely and see that he is slightly quartering away, so I'm sticking with my 25 yd pin and #6 Thanks skip, it's nice to know I'm not totally alone

Arrow enters at a 10 degree angle , point down and 1" low. Effects a 3" lower exit through body width of 10" mass Left leg is back with weight on right leg which is vertical. I'll take my shot at the bottom of #4 or the top of #7

the arrow will hit high at that range using a 25yd pin and since shooting uphill at a quartering away deer the arrow should hit the opposite front leg. if aiming with your 25yd pin at #6, you will hit just above#6 and will exit a bit higher on the other side.
I also believe you have the vitals pushed just a bit to far forward in your drawing. 6 should still be a lung shot on the near side

This is more what I'm thinking. the blue dot above 6 is where the entrance would be the green is where it would exit on the other side.

I think I finally picked a good one This is what I was seeing but I extended the lung forward for the angle
