Go back to sleep - this is a good dream - besides he needs to grow some more. Course if I did want to shoot him I would wait till' he turns his head, draw laying flat on my back (sleeping remember - and yes that is a good position to practice drawing from), sit-up at full draw and shoot him - right in the arm pit.

30 yards is my flat flight trajectory which means I have 0 gap on this shot. I am stable and shoot very well in this position. I am using a silver flame and I am going to shoot with a 2" gap above the leg bone. To me....with my equipment....this is a extremely doable shot. Now reality..... Everything is true up till we get to the braodhead In truth I am going to be shooting the spitfire and now I am going to Wait till he gets up. Question is....is he going to watch me draw and stay all sleepy eyed like he is right now

I think you got a good shot there BT - Maybe the tiniest bit farther forward and lower to (but only an 1") but why not take it now with a spitfire? Toss a pebble over his head behind him and draw as he turns to look behind him.

I'd shoot him right where BT said. maybe not with a spitfire, but any good fixed head for sure. I was assuming we were in a blind of some sort and not laying down.......
you think it's not possible. 2 years back I was in IL and one of the guys dozed off in stand. he woke up, stood up, turned around to get a sandwich and an honest 170" buck jumped from his bed 25yds away. by the time the guy grabbed his bow he was looking at the south end of a north bound deer. he described the buck to the guides, it had stickers and a drop tine, he said it was a "good" buck. the guide new the deer and had pics...........170" easy!

I'd wait till he stood. Thats a pretty big bodied deer with a massive shoulder, could cause trouble with penetration.

I'd wait till he stood. Thats a pretty big bodied deer with a massive shoulder, could cause trouble with penetration. That why I wouldn't take he shot with the spitfire in this situation. Bone is all crowded together and with the mass of the spitfire a few point of contact would perhaps be enough to limit penetration. If that were the case then the spitfire blades would not offer x-tra cut as the deer fled due to the fact that they wouldn't stay open. Have to know your limitations

Question is....is he going to watch me draw and stay all sleepy eyed like he is right now That brings up a good point. why not have a fixed head like a SF, Bunker buster or Boss Bullet in you quiver as well. You're tuned so they will hit the same spot we always said that not every great head is great in every circumstance
