I plan to get more scouting in. I will have my drivers liscense so I can waste my summer doing fun things like scouting. Hopefully it will pay off!. I can't wait.
Other then trying to get more time in and hopefully some new properties to hunt my season will be the same.

I am going to apply for an archery permit for Dall sheep in the Chugiak State Park. Thinking about trying to bait a black bear in the spring. I will definitely be moose hunting in September. Also would like to do some Sitka blacktail hunting in Prince William Sound, and caribou on the Dalton Highway time permitting. I have the usual problem of more plans than time.

Skipmaster you might want to look at Prince William Sound instead of Kodiak for the Sitka Blacktails. It has some good deer hunting and I think it might be a little cheaper. If you are interested let me know and I will see if I can dig up some info for you.

Yeah that would be great. I just said Kodiak because I met a few guys that had gone 2 years ago and really liked it. they shot some pretty good deer too. They did say That I was much better going in Nov, when the rut was on and bad weather started to push deer to lower elevations.

Well my plans for the upcoming year may have changed. I have an opportunity to start back to school to get my A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice. It's not exactly hunting but it will allow me more time to pursue my addiction in the long run. If I stay with the D.O.C. I may be able to retire a Captain. Either way an associates degree in Criminal Justice will open a lot of doors for me.
