Last year I had 3 under my belt by now with many deer that I passed on. This year I am still skunked and only 3 deer passed on(this was early in the season, I wooyuldn't pass now). I think the weather had alot to do with it. Lots of rain, really warm. Good news forecast for tomorrow is 5-10 cm of snow and it will stay cold for a while.

I said "better". In truth it's about the same but I did take a nice buck with the 'curve and that has me pumped. No P&Y's YET this year. I have been busy doing work around the house but I'm gonna hit it hard for the last 2 months of season. I put 8 very nice deer on the ground this year so my freezers are pretty full and I was able to donate some to feed the hungry.

Best season ever, even though I haven't got a deer yet  , I was with my oldest when he got his first deer this year  . And my second son has spent a lot of time on stand with me  . Now, my 6yr old daughter wants to go with me, she is still kind of young to see a deer killed and gutted, but I may take her out for some squirrels. |

My season was outstanding I got 1 Doe with my bow(1st ever). Then I shot a nice doe with my rifile. Then 1 week before end of riflie season I shot this baby! I even got my Grandaughter to help me pull this Mule Deer out 1 1/2 mi up and down hill... Then she told me she wants a bow and is saving $ up to buy a bow in the spring. What more could I ask for. The only down side of my whole 06 season was that I was in Elk numerious times and couldnt get a shot with my bow.It was a great yr and I can't waite till 07 season starts  Oh well  guess I have some more praying to do to the bowgods for next yr so I can get a BUll with my Pantera .  |

This is my first year hunting with a bow. Managed to get a moose with it so I would say that my season has been great.  |

I have killed a few more deer this year. I got 12 deer with the bow, and 8 with the gun.
