This was a buck that was shot during rifle season. The deer was skun and then the arrow reinserted as it was.

Wow, if that is looking at the back ( hams up, shoulders down)- looks a little high but otherwise a good shot?

Yes....that's why I took the picture and brought it over here. It's pretty darn interesting and yes , the front is facing downward.

Nope....it was broken off but I would guess it was a Atom. Couldnt be a Montec because it made it through. ;D....just kidding guys!

before I saw your rifle season statement my first thought was that it was shot with a rifle that didn't expand much; from the right side angling back and exiting out the other side. looks like it should have hit the spine but that is a lot of blood shot for an arrow and why did they trim around the "entrance" as the now show it?

I think they removed the tallow to try and show the cut but they should have left it alone because the white shows better IMO.
