I always cheat back away from that pocket because you just never know when the deer might drop and change everything for the worse [xx(]

Your 20 yards away and in a ground blind. You have a double edge fixed blade head. He is watching a hunter crossing a field edge behind you. You know this....he is going to turn and head towards the woods but that may be on a run or a walk. Shot or no shot?

I say wait til her turns, and hope for the better shot...too much bone in the way!

Tyhe white shows the leg bones. You want to avoid them. I would prefer to wait for the deer to turn or at least stop. but at this angle, the red dot is where I would shoot, I should get both lungs and the miss all heavy bone.

You are hunting an early season state and you clear the lower stream bank...... this is your view. These deer are 33 yards out and there is no cover beyond where you now stand. Your bow has a 12" window of decent for the 10 yard pin gaping between 20 and 30. (Your Bow is set at 190fps) Shot or no shot ?

No shot due to the fact that in NY it's illegal to shoot a deer in the water..

No shot there till one or the other moves.... one on the left is face one - no brainer...
two on the right? the farther one presents a questionable shot and there's too much chance of hitting the forward deer in a poor spot.... The forward one is also no shot in my books until the back one moves clear...on a pass thru there's the chance of hitting the back deer on the rump....
Wait...patience is a virtue they say.

No shot due to the fact that in NY it's illegal to shoot a deer in the water.. read closely.....you are out of state in an early season area still and all......good thinking on the game laws I didn't think about that myself Before I answer....did anyone read the bow specs?
