I've had my mind set on a new bow this year, and one in particular. But I told myself I would wait until after the ATA show just in case there was a dark horse out there that would make an appearance that would sway my decision. Well, there really wasn't, so I went ahead and ordered today. A Pearson TX-4 should be here next week I think. The weather isn't looking too good for getting out and shooting it though and I've got a lot of traveling to do for the next month as well. Might have to endure a little torture while it just hangs for a while.

Good deal!....I used to shoot Pearson bows for years and never looked for anything else. I'd love to hear all about this bow

As soon as I get it set up and spend a little time with it, I'll post up some pics and maybe opine a little. This will be my first new compound in about 5 years; my last being a Newberry in '03 (though I did buy a few used ones in between there for fun). I like going with smaller companies even though there is some risk with it. At least the Pearson name has been around a long time; the longest, perhaps, in the US.

Not for the faint of heart ( ), but the dealer is known for his reliability and ease of return if not happy. It is hard to believe in all these years that this will be my first Pearson compound. Had a couple of recurves many years ago though. (A Mustang and a Varsity)

Supposed to be here tomorrow. I have to admit, the short brace height has worried me, but the distributer insists it is not an issue with this bow and if I don't like it to send it right back. He sells many other higher-end bow lines, but pushes Pearson the most. I shot short brace height bows before; some were ok; most I didn't like. I'm hoping that if Pearson is hanging their hat on this bow for their staff shooters as a replacement for the Gen II target bow that he is right.
