BTW: already ordered my Stealth Stab. and the new Sword Twilight Hunter for whichever bow I choose. Just as a heads up, the new Twilight Hunter is both 2nd and 3rd plane adjustable. You can call Sword and order one exactly the way you want it: orange or white aiming guard number of pins size of pins color of pins, etc. for only 85 bucks. Pretty nice deal. The old model (which wasn't adjustable for 2nd or 3rd) is going for 95 on eBay. Here are some pics:

The Katera is actually a bit lighter than the Vulcan, but is still heavier than other bows. I love a heavy bow. A heavy bow is more stable(if everything else is the same), period. In fact I alwasy put a heavy stab on to increase weight even more.
I know I'll be shooting the new BT's, Elies and Mathews as well. I will give my thoughts on each of these as they come in.
I have no problem with mathews, but to me it seems like more of the same every year. I'm not really a fan of the single cam.
The bottom line is all of the new bows can and will get the job done......after that 99% is personal preferance. shoot a ton of bows and see what one screams out to you!

Thanks Skip...I really know nothing about Elite Archery. The GTO sure looks interesting, however. I'll look forward to your thoughts.

I shot a dxt and a drenalin side by side the other day. Since I already shoot a drenalin I wasn`t expecting much, but I do like a shorter bow. I took turns shooting each and felt the dxt was a far smoother bow to shoot. The draw was smooth and there was no recoil at the shot. I guess I should have stayed away, because now I have a dxt on order. I hope everyone has a wonderful new year.

I have also gotten to the shop and shot the new dxt... First it is far smoother and hand shock free then the Drenalin....short axle to axle bow which sometimes is not that forgiving to some people, new smaller grip and narrower this may feel uncofortable to regular Mathews users which have big grips which I like big hands!!! my question was why didn't they do this on the dren? ? overall it's my new bow on orderwill replace my outback oh yes this bow is fast.. they lowered the brace height... IMO better bow then dren and light wieght will be a big seller for mathews I'm waiting to try new mission bow, and the replacement for the switchback....

Went to flying arrow with a buddie of mine today. He shoots an old Martin Cougar, and I was convincing him that he needed a new bow. Jimmy, (the shop owner) , sealed the deal by setting up a Martin Firecat..(now that's the way to do it)...this guy spent some time to set this bow up, even though I told him my buddie wasn't going to buy today...that he was just starting to look. Anyway, after about 10 shots later....and sending arrows through the bag target....THROUGH! My buddie is the proud new owner of a Martin Firecat! At 65# this bow did show something...as opposed to the 60# version that I had shot last month..and set up, it was devastating. I have to say it changed my mind from my first experience with it. Flying Arrow is a top notch outfit that I would recommend to anyone!

Flying Arrow is a top notch outfit that I would recommend to anyone! It's like a drug dealer......."come on just try it, you don't need to buy anything" ;D Flying Arrow is top notch! I shot the BT General the other night.....with the laser grips. The bow was nice. i did like the draw and it was dead in the hand. I didn't like the placement of the "short stop" supressor. It makes it imposible to use a kisser and really hard to nock an arrow. That alone would keep me from considering buying one. The Crimson Trace grips were pretty cool. They really show you what someone is doing during a shot. It really takes proper form and breathing to settle the dot on the target, and it really shows what kind of follow through you have or if you pull the shot. It also REALLY shows if you are torguing the bow. If you can get the dot settled it is very accurate. It wasn't sighted in for me and I had no kissser or anything except a nock on the string but I was able to shoot 3 shot groups at 20yds where you could barely get a playing card in between the arrows.

No Doubt. Are those Crimson Trace Grips for the Bowtech only, or can you use them with any bow?
