I have seen that on the Mathews forum. What totally amazes me about that, is all of that happens in less then 1/4 of a second! Thats is freaking incredible!

I have to say that I gained 7 fps bye using the STS system and removing my String silencers :)Went thru at 278 fps this time

I bet the bow is quieter, and has less hand shock too!

The loss of the silencers would account for that and thats great but the reverb at the axles must be considerable in comparison to the standard string travel. I am not looking to start anything negative here....just saying

LMAO!! What I am referring to is that a standard string has a swing effect as it comes to a stop whereas the STS sends many high speed shock waves straight into the axles via the cams. This is in fact the reason that a rotary hammer drill works better than a hammer although the force of each strike is far less. I could envision rapid wear (by comparison) in bushings.

You bring up an interesting point BT. But doesn't the rubber stopper absorb the shock that was initially going through the bow anyway? Energy dispersal?

Look at the footage and you will see that the shock follows upward and downward from the bumper on the STS. Watch it a few times and count each unaided pulse as well (where the string is off the bumper of the STS.) Also...the bumper is only in minimal contact for the whole process of stopping the string. 50% maybe
