BT- that was NY911 with the Bucknasty set up.....and to me I don't want to see any "feathering" on a new set of cable and strings.

A little bit - but in his defense - I have taken the cables off a bunch of times to tweak the set up. The strings and cable still have been rock solid, THOUSANDS of shots through them.

When I saw yours it seemed to me to be an effect of the material itself and not the workmanship. Just the sort of thing that would weird me out

I use his strings and have not had this problem in fact i'm ordering next set for switchback xt!! 20 shots my peep was settled, i just lokked over my set on my outback after seeing this post no fraying on mine... did he make it up to you for a string ? he seems very anal over his work and goes out of his way to make things right... $50 for a set tell me how can you go wrong!! in fact i went in with a couple of guys on a order and he gave use a break half the cost of WC and done in 3 days!! just my .02

Well I know that from seeing the work and having heard enough from the customer base , he does good work unless he doesn't I have seen some strings and harnesses that I wouldn't keep on my bow due to fraying ect. but I have also seen some good examples of good work. Seems like a good guy trying his best to make a good product It may be a few years before I actually do try his strings as I wait for it all to be worked out but as you say....$50. is cheap anymore

It seems that most of the people that use his string/cable sets are happy. But I have seen a few examples that have had problems. Serving seperation and Tedicast's problems.
John(Bucknasty) did help Tedicast and seemed to take steps to correct the problem.
I have a set of Bucknasty's that I haven't had a problem with.

I have two sets, one on the PSE, the other on my Xi. Both are so solid it is scary. I have not noticed fraying as of this writing. John sne me a free cable set up for my Xi after the one I designed did not work...you read that right....that I, ME....designed. He just wanted me to have a good experience. I think the material itself is the problem, maybe a bad batch of serving thread. It can happen from time to time. I am in favor of giving John another chance to get it right for ya. He sure got my Nova shooting better than my buddy's Mathews, and almost as quiet as my Xi!!
