Since Hoyt dropped the ball this year I may take a look at the new Martin. looks like some sweet specs. I'll be sure to shoot it when the shop gets them in! www.martinarchery.com/firecat.htm

They do look like a nice set up at a good price to me. I just don't like the inlay, but with those specs it would be easy to overlook. Guess the critters don't care what it looks like though!
The new Slayer is smokin' in the speed dept. too this year.
I'm seriously considering a Pearson this year myself.

Hoyt did drop the ball, didn't they.. The cat is smoking..especially at say..80# if that's possible.. I love Martin bows, and I'm sure that this is a good one, but I'm waiting for the new High Country to come into the dealer...

How did Hoyt drop the ball? Same great grip and limb pockets. If your taking raw speed, that was never there game

Exactly correct skip.. A "Vulcan" with problems...that's a HUGE step backwards..it's bad enough when these companies discontinue a great product..but to actually make it worse is inexcusable..

Well, after posting above, I got to see the 08 Pearsons and I'm kind of seeng them do the same thing. They discontinued the Stealth and replaced it with the TX-4. Uses the same Z cam as their Z-34 and Z-32. The Z-34 and the TX-4 are both 34 inches A to A, but the new bow has a full 1 inch shorter brace ht. at 6.25'! That is just too short for me I think, and all for an extra 5 fps? I like speed but I'n not a freak about it. I'll either look at the Z-34 or the Firecat. And the FIRECAT sure is looking better and better!

It's even more of a shame as a lot of other forums that I've been on, I've had members PM me..(Including shop owners)..asking about the speeds, and feel of the Vulcan..(because they saw it in my signature), and they were VERY impressed. One guy was debating on whether or not to carry the Hoyt line in his shop, and thanked me for the info that I gave him. Everyone who has shot my bow has considered getting one..but..I guess they can't... But how 'bout that cat?
