Here is a responce I pulled off another site.
Thought it would be worth a look
Both bows shot @ 70#

[yellow]OK. Just got the Iron Mace and the speedpro arrows set up. Took them out back for a side-to-side comparison to the Drenalin. The chrono is a Beta Chrony
Iron Mace: Ripcord, loop, S-Coil, 28", 70#, STS rear mount
Drenalin: WB, loop, S-Coil, 28", 70#
Arrows: (not sure of exact arrow weights, but this is a relative test anyway)
ACC 3-49 - 7.3 gpi, Blazers, 100gr field pt, 28"
HCA Speed Pro - 5.5 gpi, Blazers, 100gr field pt, 28"
Speed: (note: the Dren has a WB which would affect by 2-3 fps based on previous tests)
Drenalin: ACC's - 279 fps, HCA's - 313 fps
Iron Mace: ACC's - 298fps, HCA's - 338 fps
Feel:
The feel between the two bows is quite different. I much prefer the grip of the Iron Mace vs the wooden grip of the Drenalin. The Iron Mace feels better balanced and lighter.
Advantage: Iron Mace
Hand Shock: Zip, Zero, Nada on either
Setup:
I like the ability to change draw length and letoff without using a press and not buying a new cam. My arrows are 28" and had to set the Iron Mace to 27.5" to match the 28" cam of the Drenalin. Kinda odd, but no big deal.
Advantage: Iron Mace
Draw Cycle:
The resistance of the draw cycle on the Iron Mace is kinda a double hump. It starts, evens out, then increases again before rolling over. There is almost no valley and a very solid back wall. The Drenalin shows consistent resistance all through the draw cycle. There is a noticable valley and a soft back wall. This may sound odd, but the Iron Mace feels very precise when drawing while the Drenalin fells mushy.
Advantage: Undecided: I like a valley, but also a solid back wall.
Other Notes:
When I first shot the Iron Mace, it hit my forearm forward of where the string sits at rest. I added the STS and the issue went away, plus the bow completely went dead. I have never really noticed much of an improvement with a STS on the Drenalin, maybe because they have the string suppressors at the end of the limbs.
Speed Pro Arrows:
These things are light and stiff. However, they came from the factory with the nocks glued in. Not sure if this is a standard practice or an anomally. Really pissed me off since I use a Bitz and have to rotate the nock for a cock-vane-up alignment. Not sure what I will do about that. I would prefer they use the uninock system.[/yellow]
