After talking to OFB about Rinehart targets, and what I've been through with them, I decided to post a "how to" on repair. It's pretty simple, and all you need is some wax cord, and "Great Stuff". I paid about 15 bucks for 4 cans. When I shot my Rinehart out, I received a replacement as per the one year warranty. When I returned the shot out one, they only wanted the red tag, and had no use for the falling apart, shedding everywhere, blown out one. So, I went to Home Depot, and got 4 cans of Great Stuff...(that stuff that people use to fill gaps in their homes). This is the old shot out one: After tieing the target with wax cord, I fill every hole, and crack with the Great Stuff. It expands, and spills out of the target. After it cures, I use a hacksaw blade to trim off the expanded material. This is the shot out one, and the replacement, (which got shot out as well The one on the right has not been trimmed yet.

After hearing of your repair when I pm'd you I gave it a try.I like the fix for the most part but think I put to much in.I also found out you need a few days to cure the deep insides to keep from getting it on your arrows.Comes off with acetone. Also I think you need to use the whole can once you start.I know the spitfires come out like a dream. Great tip Spiker.

You are correct OFB! Curing is a must, as well as using the whole can...the nozzle is rendered useless after an application. No worry about using too much, you want to make sure all the little air pockets are filled. Just hacksaw blade the excess off. BTW, this can be done a few times before it's a goner. Yes, targets do get a beating from me.

You did a better job than I did but the end result worked as well I think. It doesn't last as long the second time around but it is a cheaper fix than a full replacement.

No doubt. I would say that between the warranty, and the fix, I'll get at least 4 years out of these targets, which is insane with the amount that I shoot.

I wonder how well the flexible Great Stuff will work on filling the holes in my Blob target? May need to give it a try...
